State of Wisconsin Hikes Stake in Xircom

The State of Wisconsin Investment Board has increased its stake in Xircom Inc., a Calabasas company that makes electronic components to link personal computers, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The Wisconsin Investment Board, which manages pension funds for Wisconsin state employees, acquired 191,800 shares of Xircom common stock between Oct. 27 and Nov. 2 for $8.66 to $9 each. The stock purchases brought the board’s total Xircom holdings to 951,800 common shares, or 6.6% of the total outstanding.
