Diodes’ 3rd-Quarter Profit Rises as Sales Climb 25%

Diodes Inc. said its third-quarter profit rose to $52,863 from $7,179 a year earlier, while its sales in the quarter ended Sept. 30 climbed 25%, to $4.69 million from $3.74 million.

The Chatsworth-based manufacturer of semiconductors and other electronic components said the gains reflected its strategy of providing increased customer support. Diodes said the revenues for the quarter and for the first nine months of 1992 were the highest in the company’s 33-year history.

In nine months, Diodes’ profits rose 13%, to $277,158 from $245,260, and its nine-month sales advanced 23%, to $13.4 million from $10.9 million.
