Rescuers pulled a movie cameraman out of the Kilauea Volcano crater where he had been trapped for two nights after a helicopter crash, officials said. Michael Benson, 42, was taken to Hilo Hospital where he was in guarded condition, suffering from sore lungs after breathing sulfur dioxide in the Pu’u O’o crater. Another cameraman, Chris Duddy, 31, had crawled out earlier and was in stable condition at Hilo Hospital. The helicopter crashed on the Pu’u O’o floor about 150 feet below the rim.
