CASTING CALL / AUDITIONS

Auditions for Moorpark College’s upcoming production of “Daddy’s Dyin’ (Who’s Got the Will?)” will be held Dec. 1-3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the campus’ Forum Theater. The first cast meeting will be Dec. 15; rehearsals will begin Jan. 20 and performances are scheduled for March 4-6 and 11-13, 1993.

Anyone may audition, director Les Weider said, but those cast must enroll in the Moorpark College production and performance class, in which they will receive three units of academic credit.

Del Shores’ comedy centers on an extended small-town family’s search for their dying patriarch’s last will and testament; things get all warm and cuddly when the members of the group learn about themselves and one another. Call director Weider at 378-1469.

The Thousand Oaks-based Conejo Players are seeking volunteers to construct costumes for their upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s fairy-tale musical, “Into the Woods.” Costume designer Crystal St. Romain adds that the volunteers may be of any level of expertise, but must have their own sewing machines. Patterns, fabric and notions will be supplied by the Conejo Players. Those who contribute will be individually credited in the printed program during the show’s run, April 8 through May 15.
