* Shari McMahan has joined ESS Industries as director of environmental health sciences. She is responsible for work-site wellness educational programs and product evaluation, and will act as occupational health and safety spokesman for the Costa Mesa ergonomics company. McMahan was previously a research staff associate with the Greater Irvine Health Promotion Center and an occupational health consultant with the Work Environment Research Center, both at UC Irvine. She has also been an occupational safety and health coordinator at Laura Scudder Inc. and an industrial hygiene technician at Allergan Inc.
