Scouting Defenders Spark Lively Volley on Standards

The editorial (Nov. 18) about the “most uncharitable boycott” again shows its intent to be merely a “politically correct” medium whose primary objective appears to be the insulting of its many common sense readers.

If it is correct and non-punishable for Levi Strauss and Wells Fargo to publicly withdraw support for the Boy Scouts of America, then it is just as correct and non-punishable for individuals and organizations to publicly affirm their support for the Scouting program by such a boycott. You should follow your own advice and not attempt to punish the many Scouting supporters by your ill-conceived editorial ridicule.
