Son Born to Monaco Princess, Boyfriend

MONTE CARLO, Monaco — There’s a new member of the royal family of Monaco, a son born to Princess Stephanie and her former bodyguard boyfriend.
Louis, named for his great-great-grandfather, was born at 10:10 p.m. Thursday at the Princess Grace Hospital, weighing 6.8 pounds, the principality’s press office said.
Stephanie, 27, entered the hospital Thursday on the arm of her boyfriend, Daniel Ducruet, a former Monaco police officer who later became her bodyguard. He recently left the wholesale fish business to work in real estate and import-export.
The romance between Ducruet and Stephanie reportedly infuriated her father, Prince Rainier.
Stephanie has said she will probably marry Ducruet, 28.
