Guns Gig Sparks Riot: Authorities in Bogota, Colombia, have indefinitely banned huge rock concerts in the wake of a riot that followed a concert by Guns N’ Roses and injured at least 20. About 1,500 persons, most of whom could not get tickets for the show, fought police, smashed parked cars and looted stores after the concert. Damage was estimated at $165,000. The concert, attended by more than 45,000 at a stadium in northeast Bogota, was billed by promoters as the greatest show ever held in Colombia.
