New Carson Cos. President: C. Bradley Olson, former president of an Irvine Co. development division, became president of Carson Cos. in Rancho Dominguez, effective Tuesday.

Olson, 52, resigned June 30 after 10 years with the Irvine Co. He had headed its Foothill Community Builders division, where he worked on planning and gaining governmental approvals for such projects as Newport Coast, Tustin Ranch, Santiago Hills, East Orange and Irvine’s Westpark.

As president of Carson Cos., Olson will oversee real estate development, management and investment. The company, which owns and manages 2.5 million square feet of commercial and industrial properties in California, Arizona and Texas, is the majority developer and owner of the 430-acre Dominguez Technology Centre and Homestead Business Park, both in Rancho Dominguez. Most of the company’s real estate holdings are in the South Bay area. Seven of its industrial buildings are in Orange County.
