Bacon Estate: Francis Bacon, the English artist who painted savage images of people screaming and trapped, left his estate with a net value of $16.9 million to a companion, John Edwards. Bacon died from a heart attack in April at age 82; his will was published Thursday in London. Edwards, 43, who comes from a London family of pub keepers, had known Bacon for the last 15 years and was his model in a number of paintings.
