PLATFORM : Let Masses Be Heard

I saw the documentary and was in agreement with most of what was said. And like anything that’s true, it’s sometimes painful to hear.

It’s painful to watch KCET give in to my church. But as long as we’re talking about a “balance of views,” how about letting the flock air its views?

While it may be surprising to Cardinal Mahony, there are a number of Catholics who don’t jump to attention whenever the confession booths open and would love to get their chance to talk about issues that affect all Catholics.

It would be nice to let the flock talk about abortion, birth control, divorce and women priests. Open up the aisles and let us talk about the issues that are called sins by my church. It only seems fair that if my church can ask for equal time from little ol’ KCET, how about letting us, the congregation, have some equal time too?
