Instead of Santa on the roof, some holiday cards for sale in South Florida show houses with no roofs--courtesy of Hurricane Andrew.

Others depict a battered house with broken windows--holiday wreath on the door--and “Customized By Andrew” spray-painted on a wall.

“We did a little redecorating for the holidays,” reads the caption.

Georgia Cintron and her friend Dolores Pledger produce the cards under the name D&G; Designs. Their logo is a wind-whipped palm tree. Boxes of 20 cards, in English or Spanish, sell for $10.

Anne and Nick Garzilli bought a box on Sunday. Since the Aug. 24 storm, they have lived in a trailer while waiting for their home to be repaired.

“We’re sending them to friends who live outside of Florida,” Garzilli said. “I thought they were a little on the humorous side.”

“You can’t keep crying,” his wife said.
