MAGIC CURTAIN FALLS

Did I miss something? All the Magic Johnson AIDS stories show insufficient concern for his irresponsibility and callousness toward the women with whom he slept. It is possible that he has infected hundreds.

I’d like to like Johnson, but his statements ring with narcissism and obliviousness to the suffering he has caused. Equally unfortunate is the media’s blase, boys-will-be-boys treatment of the Johnson story. Just once I’d like to hear him own up to the fact that he has hurt people. That would take true courage.
