X-Rated Videos and a Free Society

Marshall decries the fact that there are X-rated videos but never says what is wrong with them. Marshall does make a vague reference to degradation of women that I am not sure I understand or ever did. Nobody forces her to watch these things. Nobody forces the women who appear in them to appear. She also says they serve no benefit or purpose to society. Not true. They are entertainment to many people and they make money for the store owner.

As far as her children are concerned, the world is full of adult things in which children are not allowed to participate. How does she deal with the rest of them? Denmark, where pornography is legal, has much less of a sex crime problem than we do so I’m not sure that if her children get to see something they shouldn’t that it would make much of a difference.
