HOLIDAY DINING : Special Meals Are Seasoned With Christmas in Mind

Along with hanging the stockings and trimming the tree, dining out on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day is fast becoming something of a tradition for people in Orange County. Here are some options:

CHRISTMAS EVE

Guy Sockrider, chef at Oysters in Corona del Mar, will prepare a four-course wild goose dinner for $35 per person. The regular menu, with Guy’s signature bouillabaisse, also will be available. 4 to 9 p.m. 2515 E. Coast Highway. (714) 675-7411.

For dinner amid English country ambience, try the Summit House in Fullerton, where the menu will include fresh fish, rack of lamb, duck and--of course--prime rib with Yorkshire pudding. A la carte entrees: $14.95 to 22.95. Carolers will stroll the restaurant from 6 to 8 p.m., and there will be entertainment in the lounge from 7 till 11. Dinner will be served from 5 to 9:30. 2000 E. The All-American Boys Chorus will return to the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point for a Christmas Eve concert and dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the ballroom. The four-course dinner will include roasted turkey with chestnut stuffing and Madeira pepper sauce and a chocolate-raspberry Yule log for dessert. $48 for adults, $24 for children 12 and under. 33533 Ritz-Carlton Drive. CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY

Every year, Gustaf Anders in Santa Ana brings forth a sumptuous traditional Swedish Christmas smorgasbord in the weeks preceding Christmas. For the first time this year, it will continue through Christmas Day, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (On Christmas Eve it will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.) 1651 Sunflower Ave., in the South Coast Plaza Village mall. CHRISTMAS DAY

In Cafe Fleuri at Le Meridien Newport Beach, French champagne and homemade eggnog will flow during a holiday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. $30 per adult, $16 for children 6 to 12. 4500 MacArthur Blvd. (714) 476-2001.

There’ll be a “Snow White Christmas” at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim from 12 noon to 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom, complete with Snow White, all seven dwarfs and a buffet. $34.50 for adults, $12.50 for children 3 to 11, $3 for those 2 and under. The Cottage in Laguna Beach will serve entrees varying from vegetarian acorn squash stuffed with wild rice to roast turkey, leg of lamb and prime rib.
