El Monte : Street Sweeping to Change
The City Council has approved a new public street sweeping and parking enforcement system.
The city hopes that the new street parking restrictions and daytime street sweeping schedule will significantly improve the appearance of the community and enhance property values.
The regulations will not go into effect until spring of 1993, in order to approve and install the necessary street signs and provide adequate notice to El Monte residents.
Mid-Valley Manpower Consortium is expected to be awarded the contract to install the new signs.
The City Council has suspended, until further notice, the Police Department’s enforcement of early morning street parking regulations.
