Three men robbed a Ventura business, beat up an employee and stole his car, police reported Sunday.
The robbers entered Hydro Aire, a vacuum cleaner sales and service company on Palma Drive, at 5:45 p.m. Saturday and confronted a 29-year-old employee who was working in a back office, police said.
They then assaulted him, tied him up with telephone cord and took his car keys, police said.
He told police that one of the men held a gun to the back of his head and another pressed a knife to his throat while demanding to know where office cash was kept.
They then grabbed videocassette recorders and other office equipment plus a television set and cash, loaded the items into the victim’s car and drove off, the police report said.
The worker eventually untied himself and called police.
No arrests were immediately made.
