COLLEGE BASKETBALL / WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : Leslie’s 23 Points Lead No. 16 USC Past CS Fullerton; Tennessee Wins

Lisa Leslie had 23 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals to lead No. 16-ranked USC over Cal State Fullerton, 85-46, at the Sports Arena on Monday.
USC (4-1) never trailed, taking a 16-5 lead with a pressure defense that forced 41 turnovers.
Shefonda Colbert led Fullerton (1-3) with 13 points.
Tennessee 84, Stanford 79--The top-ranked Vols took a 19-point lead and then withstood a barrage of three-pointers by Molly Goodenbour at Knoxville, Tenn.
Goodenbour sank nine three-pointers, including five in the last nine minutes, and finished with 31 points for the second-ranked Cardinal (6-2), which lost to the Tennessee (6-0) for the second time this season. Goodenbour’s last three-pointer, with 23 seconds to play, cut Tennessee’s lead to 80-77, but Tiffany Woosley sank four free throws to offset two by Kate Paye.
