HOLIDAY SPIRIT: Here’s an occasion when Christmas came in handy: An attorney this week asked Superior Court Judge Ronald L. Bauer if she could have extra time to serve a restraining order, since her target would be coming to Orange County to visit family for Christmas. . . . Judge Bauer’s reply: “Merry Christmas--here’s your restraining order. Maybe you should put a ribbon on it. Whatever works.”
