TIRANA, Albania —
The widow of Stalinist dictator Enver Hoxha will stand trial next week on charges of misappropriating state funds, Albania’s presiding judge said Sunday.
“The trial will start in the first week of January,” Judge Muharrem Kushe said. “The exact date will be decided on Monday.”
Nexhmije Hoxha, 71, will be tried alongside Kino Buxheli, head of the former Communist Party’s finance department, who faces the same charges.
