Above and Beyond: In recognition of his humanitarian and educational efforts, pianist Ivo Pogorelich will receive the Ambassador Foundation’s sixth annual Ambassador Award for Excellence at a ceremony next Thursday at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena. The presentation will follow Pogorelich’s playing of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Russian National Orchestra.
