Officers Shoot Man Near MacArthur Park
Los Angeles police officers, responding to a call for assistance from a fellow officer, shot and wounded a man near MacArthur Park Thursday evening, a spokesman said.
The wounded man, 26, was taken to County-USC Medical Center where he was in critical condition, officers said. His identity was not immediately available.
The shooting occurred in the 2800 block of Leeward Avenue at 7:40 p.m. No other details of the incident were available late Thursday.
