Craig Ehlo scored eight points during a 16-5 run at the start of the fourth quarter that carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 106-91 victory over the Lakers on Saturday night.

The win was the Cavaliers’ third straight and 10th in 11 games. The Lakers have lost six of eight.

Cleveland entered the fourth quarter protecting a 76-69 lead, the largest for either team to that point. The Cavs then sank their first six floor shots -- and 10 of their first 11 -- extending the margin to 92-74 when Ehlo made a layup with 7:24 to go.

The Lakers got no closer than 13 after that.

Larry Nance led seven Cleveland scorers in double figures with 18 points. Ehlo scored 17, and Brad Daugherty grabbed 15 rebounds.

Vlade Divac led the Lakers with 18 points and 15 rebounds. James Worthy scored 17, 11 of them in the first quarter and none in the fourth.

The Lakers led for most of the first period, until Danny Ferry’s two foul shots after time expired put Cleveland ahead 35-34. Los Angeles regained the lead with a 10-2 spurt midway through the second quarter, capped by Worthy’s 15-footer, but the Cavs moved back ahead 58-56 at the half.

Ehlo’s 22-foot jumper early in the third quarter put Cleveland ahead for good at 62-60. The Lakers shot 61% in the first quarter and 35% the rest of the way.
