I fear some of TV’s most respected interviewers have sunk to all-time lows for ratings points. The recently aired interviews conducted by Barbara Walters (“20/20, ABC) and Larry King (“The Larry King Show,” CNN) with Mark David Chapman, the admitted killer of John Lennon, is television at its worst.
Let’s stop creating celebrities out of celebrity stalkers and start rewarding heroes worthy of prime-time attention.
