Hats off to you, Prof. Shaheen. It’s no mean feat to reverse the world’s “adverse portrait” of Islam, probably developed through years of reading newspaper headlines. Hopefully through spokespersons like you, one “lovely day” Allah will reveal to the rest of us a rational explanation of exactly why, between airport massacres and hate rallies, Salman Rushdie has to die.
