Investments in China Hit 10-Year High: Taiwan’s pledged investment in China in 1992 is expected to surpass the $3.43 billion of the last 10 years combined, according to an official news report. The Beijing-controlled China Daily newspaper quoted officials from China’s Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade as saying that the number of Taiwan-funded projects approved in 1993 will also be greater than in previous years.
