Sunkist Official to Join Ventura Pacific
William A. Martinet, manager of forecasting and economic planning for Sunkist Growers, is resigning from the Sherman Oaks agricultural cooperative to become president and general manager of Ventura Pacific Co., a Ventura County lemon-packing concern.
After 22 years with Sunkist, Martinet will leave Jan. 29 to start working at Ventura Pacific, which is in Montalvo, an unincorporated area between Ventura and Oxnard.
On July 1, Martinet will become the packinghouse’s president and general manager, replacing Rex A. Berg, who is retiring.
Martinet’s appointment was made public by Sunkist. Berg declined to comment.
