Gilad Landau, a former soldier in the Israeli army who is now a sophomore kicker at Grambling, has won the Ernie Davis Award, which honors a player for overcoming adversity. Landau came to the United States as a truck driver, learned to kick and this season helped Grambling win the national Black College Football championship.
