Special Tribute: The 20th annual American Music Awards, coming up Jan. 25 at Shrine Auditorium, will include a tribute to the late rock promoter Bill Graham, who died at age 60 in an Oct. 25, 1991, helicopter crash. Graham will become the second posthumous recipient of the Award of Merit. Elvis Presley was the first. Dan Aykroyd, John Fogerty, Jerry Garcia, Huey Lewis, Carlos Santana and Grace Slick are scheduled to take part in the tribute, which will be accepted by Graham’s son, David.
