‘Stackable’ Chips Deal: Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc. in Garden Grove said Tuesday it has signed a deal to supply $1 million worth of its “stackable” computer chips to an unidentified customer.

Dense-Pac builds computer chips that can be stacked one on top of the other like pancakes for use in electronics equipment where space is at a premium.

The company said it will deliver the two-chip stacks to the computer company over the next 18 months. The customer has indicated it might need $2 million worth of the patented chips for use in a computer system.
