J. Earl Garrett of Glendale is Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation’s humanitarian of the year.

He served on the hospital’s board of directors from 1972 to 1988 and on the foundation board from 1978 to June 1992. His financial contributions most recently included a donation to the hospital’s Family Birth Center.

Lolli Benton of Glendale has been confirmed for a new term as a member of the Los Angeles County Consumer Affairs Advisory Commission. She has been on the commission for four years.
