Nureyev Burial Site: In keeping with his wishes, Rudolf Nureyev will be buried in Paris after a civil ceremony at the Paris Opera house, French officials announced. The lavish opera building will be open all day Monday for the public to pay respects to the 54-year-old Russian-born dancer, who died Wednesday of what is widely believed to have been AIDS. Tuesday’s funeral of music and speeches will be restricted to invited guests. Nureyev will then be buried in Paris’ Russian cemetery at St. Genevieve des Bois.
