Seacliff Partners has deeded 7.7 acres to the city for the planned Bolsa Chica Linear Regional Park.

The land, which runs along the bluff west of Edwards Street and north of Garfield Avenue, was given to the city this week.

Orange County supervisors in November, 1992, approved a general development plan for the 106-acre park, which will provide a recreational area linking Central Park and Bolsa Chica State Beach.

Seacliff Partners is a joint venture partnership with Pacific Coast Homes and Urban West Communities.

The park, which will be operated by the county, will be used as regional open space and a recreational area, next to the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. The park will have walking trails, bike paths and picnic areas.

The 7.7 acres is the fifth parcel that Seacliff Partners has given to the city as part of the Holly-Seacliff development agreement, approved by the city in November, 1990. The development agreement guarantees the city land for open space, new streets and traffic signal improvements, community landscaping and other public benefits that total more than $85 million.

The agreement also assures that Seacliff Partners can complete the 3,700-unit Holly-Seacliff project.

To date, Seacliff Partners has given the city 35 acres of a total of 41 acres of park land dedicated for Bolsa Chica Linear Regional Park.
