OLD FRIEND: Samuel Craig, a retired Orange County schoolteacher, frequently joined King in civil rights marches in their hometown of Montgomery, Ala., during the ‘50s and early ‘60s. . . . “Just to see him, you would think he was an average individual,” said Craig, 68. “But when he spoke, you had to listen.” He has kept up with King’s daughter Yolanda over the years: “I always tell her, ‘I used to hold you in my arms when you were a baby.’ ”
