With the moviegoing audience again skewing to adults now that the holiday season is over, themilitary drama “A Few Good Men” regained its rank as No. 1, after losing to the family-oriented “Aladdin” during the peak Christmas-to-New Year’s week.

And the Kevin Costner/Whitney Houston “The Bodyguard” moved closer to $100 million in grosses.

After two weeks in limited release, both “Scent of a Woman,” starring Al Pacino, and the Charlie Chaplin bio-picture “Chaplin,” with Robert Downey Jr., moved into nationwide runs. “Scent” sniffed a potent $6.5 million, while “Chaplin” did a soft $3.2 million.

* The surprise hit of the holidays, “The Crying Game” continues to do big business for a movie in limited run. At $1.2 million for the weekend on 135 screens, “Game” looks impressive--especially when contrasted with some of the major, big-budget releases like “Toys,” which drew a similar $1.2 million, but on 1,149 screens.
