AT&T; Sues MCI: American Telephone & Telegraph Co. filed suit in U.S. District Court charging MCI with infringing on 10 AT&T; patents. AT&T; is seeking an unspecified amount of damages and an injunction to prevent MCI from future infringement on the patents, which are related to long-distance services and advanced-calling features. AT&T;, the leading provider of long-distance services in the United States, said it has tried to settle the dispute out of court, while MCI, the second-largest long-distance provider, has refused. MCI officials were not available for comment.
