Police Release Man Held in Restaurant Slayings

PALATINE, Ill. —
A man questioned for nearly two days in the restaurant massacre of seven people was released Monday, but a prosecutor said he has not been cleared.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office said Monday five of the seven people discovered dead Saturday at Brown’s Chicken and Pasta were shot more than once, and at least one victim also was stabbed.
