Printronix Inc.: The Irvine-based computer manufacturer reported a profit of $603,000, or 19 cents a share, for its latest fiscal quarter.

The company’s latest results, its best in more than two years, contrasted with a loss of $1.7 million, or 57 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the company’s third quarter, which ended Dec. 25, rose 9% to $23.8 million from $21.8 million.

The company said that computer printer shipments increased during the period while it saved money after a restructuring program.

For the first nine months of its fiscal year, Printronix posted a loss of $3.2 million, or $1.03 a share, compared to a loss of $7.2 million, or $2.38 a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue rose 8% to $70.6 million from $65.2 million.
