RECESSION BLUES: Karen Zuehlke knows that not much is funny about the thousands of jobs lost in defense and aerospace. But Zuehlke, a program controls administrator at Hughes Aircraft Co. in Fullerton, says it’s better to laugh than cry. . . . She has made a name for herself at company events by parodying the situation with such songs as “Those Were the Days at Hughes.” A sample: “What is to become of engineering? It’s certain that we’ll wear a different hat. Why, just today I saw a dear old colleague. He asked me, ‘Do you want some fries with that?’ ”
