Houston on Illegal Aliens
By illuminating the existence of 23,000 members of two gangs composed mainly of illegal immigrants, Houston deserves recognition. On the same date, you reported that the INS raided Vans shoe plant in Orange and arrested 233 workers suspected of being illegal immigrants. The INS jumps on workers and avoids criminals and hoodlums. What a sad, sad situation.
Houston should now make a public charge to Mayor Tom Bradley to insist on action from the feds.
