Platform : Is There a Need for a Gay University?

I just don’t see a strong need for such an institute. I believe in education and communication. However, I believe the institute will create a form of separatism. Separatism is something I don’t believe in. Creating a separate institution for every political interest group would create a lot of problems in society.
To create an institution that only caters to one group is counterproductive. I believe in interfacing so that we can all have a better understanding of one another.
Once you leave high school for a university, you are entering adulthood. Any one who enters a university enrolls with the intent to learn--not just to learn about a particular subject--but to learn about life and everything that encompasses. The purpose of universities is to educate--not separate.
