Amplicon Reports 2nd-Quarter Profits of $2.5 Million, Up 14%

Amplicon Inc., a high-tech leasing company, reported a profit of $2.5 million, or 43 cents a share, for its fiscal latest quarter. That was up 14% from $2.2 million, or 38 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the company’s fiscal second period, ended Dec. 31, rose 48% to $41.8 million from $28.3 million. For the first half of fiscal 1993, the company said its earnings increased 14% to $4.8 million, or 82 cents a share, from $4.2 million, or 73 cents a share, a year earlier. Six-month revenue showed a 38% increase, to $82.4 million from $59.8 million.
