Pacific Palisades : Monies Slotted for Repairs
The City Council has earmarked $860,000 for emergency repairs to slopes that threaten several Pacific Palisades streets, Councilman Marvin Braude said.
The council set aside $500,000 for repairs on Porto Marina Way west of Lecco Lane, $300,000 for Castellammare Drive east of Tramonto Drive, and $60,000 to repair damage south of Sunset Boulevard near Marquez Avenue.
Braude said the emergency approvals will allow the Board of Public Works to hire contractors without the normal bidding procedures to make the repairs as quickly as possible.
