Homedco Group Posts 1st-Quarter Profit

Homedco Group Inc., a provider of home health care services, reported a profit of $5.4 million, or 41 cents a share, for the latest three months. For the same period a year earlier, the company posted earnings of $7.2 million, or 55 cents a share, which included a gain of $3.4 million from an accounting change. Revenue for the company’s first fiscal quarter, which ended Dec. 31, rose 70%, to $113.3 million from $66.7 million.
