Toyota, Lexus, Nissan Raise Prices: The three Japanese makes announced price increases after similar decisions by Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler. Toyota Motor Sales USA will raise 1993 model prices an average $175, or 1.2%. A Toyota spokesman said this year’s increase--the third in as many years--is “aimed primarily at increased costs in operations and manufacturing.” The biggest increases will be 3% on the Land Cruiser sport-utility truck, up $950, and the MR2 sports coupe, up $638. Lexus, Toyota’s luxury car division, will raise prices an average of 1.2% effective Feb. 26, with the biggest price hike being $500, or 1.4%, on the SC300 coupe. Nissan Motor Corp. USA said the price of selected models of its new Altima sedan will go up $200 to $300 next week.
