Murphy as Mom: More Fiction Than Fact

So Judith Culbreth, editor-in-chief of Working Mother magazine, declares: “What makes for happy kids is really if the mother is happy herself, if she felt what she was doing was the right thing for herself.”

What a bunch of bunk. Our society’s priorities have become so misplaced.

This kind of reasoning is simply a crutch that parents use to justify selfish behavior at the expense of their children.

It’s no wonder the couple from Chicago who left their children home alone “did the right thing for themselves” and enjoyed a vacation in Mexico.
