Frank Sennes, 89, who founded Hollywood’s Moulin Rouge and served as entertainment director for Howard Hughes’ Desert Inn and other Las Vegas casinos. Before he moved to Las Vegas, Sennes was manager of the Hollywood Gardens nightclub, where he gave Betty Grable her first break. In 1953, he converted the old Earl Carroll Theater-Cafe on Sunset Boulevard into the lavish Moulin Rouge, which at the time was the biggest nightclub, restaurant and showroom in the United States. In Las Vegas, he staged lavish French-style productions at the Desert Inn, and later at the Stardust, Frontier and Holiday casino resorts. On Tuesday in Las Vegas.
