IBM Upgrade of Mainframe Computer Expected: International Business Machines Corp. is expected to unveil an upgraded line of its ES/9000 mainframe computer family, including air-cooled mainframes, one with seven processors and another with eight. Analysts also predicted that the company will unveil a new pricing strategy and a customer-based marketing focus. Endorsements for the IBM mainframe are expected from software developers such as Belmont, Calif.-based Oracle Systems Corp. and Computer Associates International Inc. of Garden City, N.Y.
