Giving Back: Singer Michael Bolton, whose remakes of classic rhythm and blues standards have earned him triple-platinum sales, presented $50,000 to the Harlem School of the Arts on Monday, saying he wanted to give something back to the black community from whose culture he has drawn his singing style, material and commercial success. The lean, blond singer said he hopes that his $25,000 donation, which was matched by $25,000 from his record company, Columbia Records, will set an example to the recording industry to support cash-starved arts organizations.
