Rent Due: Rap star Hammer’s Bust It Production is being threatened with eviction from a building in Oakland for failure to pay more than $15,000 in back rent, according to papers filed Wednesday in Oakland Municipal Court. Oakland Swan Way, the company that owns the building where Bust It has rented space since September, 1989, asks for $7,424 in back rent for one suite and $7,809 on the other. G. William Hunter, Hammer’s attorney, said he knew nothing about the complaint.
